Meet Austin-based father-son duo who epitomize this family-first motto: esteemed Senior Superintendent Walter Naranjo Sr. and his son, Walter Naranjo Jr., a dedicated Field Engineer. Walter Sr. started his career with Power Design 23 years ago, even before welcoming his namesake to the world. Since Senior could remember, Walter Jr. was always trying on his Power Design safety vest and hard hat after he got home from the job site — that’s when Senior knew he wanted his son to join him at Power Design one day.
After moving around to different markets for Power Design, Walter Sr. and his family settled in Austin, Texas - a brand-new, growing Power Design market at the time. With Power Design growing into the force it is in Austin, the father-son duo is making its skyline their legacy and doing it together.
"To have that father/son relationship here at the workplace, it's something that I never thought I would experience, but I wouldn't have it any other way," Walter Jr. said.
Our best of the best are empowering the future generation of the workforce by teaching them the Power Design way — for Walter Jr., who better than his own father to mentor him both personally and professionally?
