    About the Position

    The Travel & Expense Clerk is responsible for the review and management of all activity related to the company's travel and expense systems. The purpose of this role is to ensure timely and accurate employee reimbursement and expense coding in accordance with the published standards and controls. This position deals with employees at all levels to address inquiries or resolve issues as needed. 

    Position Details/Responsibilities

    • Communicate travel plans to employees and answer questions about travel policies and process.
    • Checking hotel and flight availability, confirming reservations, or making itinerary changes as necessary.
    • Ensures travel needs are met within the constraints of company/department requirements.
    • Scheduling hotel, flight, and car rentals via Concur.
    • Managing monthly expense report for all travel arrangements booked.
    • Coordinating with other departments on travel booking needs.  
    • Review and audit expense reports submitted via Workday to ensure compliance with company policies.
    • Ensure proper coding of expenses using various audit procedures.
    • Apply knowledge of processes and related systems to assist in identifying, assessing and resolving issues, escalating those that cannot be resolved.
    • Follow-up with employees regarding non-compliant expenses and approaching or missed deadlines.
    • Provide guidance to employees on correcting and submitting expense reports.

    Here's What We're Looking For

    • Minimum of an associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field is highly preferred.
    • Experience with Concur and Workday systems is preferred.
    • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
    • Possess strong mathematical computation abilities.
    • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Must be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
    • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
