Position Responsibilities
- Quality Control
- Physically inspect active projects to ensure that systems meet code, compliance standards, and best practices
- Produce comprehensive reports with findings and next steps
- Installation: Install complex low voltage systems, including
- Security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection)
- Audio/visual systems (conferencing, presentation, entertainment)
- Network infrastructure (cabling, switches, routers)
- Building automation systems (HVAC, lighting control)
- Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Troubleshooting: Use expert knowledge of signal flow, basic logic, active components, and manufacturer software tools to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to audio visual, lighting control, video surveillance systems, and access control systems
- Repair: Repair faulty systems to meet industry standards and regulations
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation, including
- Test results and troubleshooting procedures
- Serial numbers and MAC Addresses
- Software and firmware versions
- Shop and As Built Drawings
- Control protocol IDs (if applicable)
- Training: Provide training and guidance to newer technicians
- Project Management: Assist in project planning and execution to meet deadlines and budgets while providing quality and customer service
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- Certifications: BICSI-Tech, CTS-I, or CCNA (current credentials or ability to obtain them within 6-12 months)
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, and technical or vocational training in electronics or a related field preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a low voltage technician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role

- Crestron Programming 101, 201
- Crestron Online Courses
- Lutron Programming and Design
- Biamp Tesira Forte, Tesira 101
- Qsys Level 1
- Skills:
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of low voltage systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
