    Welder/Pipefitter

    About the Position

This role works under the supervision of our Piping Foreman to ensure we provide quality installs on ground- up, multi-family construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience with pipefitting and hydronic systems and can ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.     Position Responsibilities

    • Perform layout, welding, and assembly of hydronic piping systems, including steel, stainless steel, and copper materials
    • Install and secure piping systems for hydronic heating and cooling, ensuring proper alignment and function
    • Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions and procedures  
    • Ensure all installations adhere to code and Power Design’s standards of quality, safety, and best practices

    Here’s What We’re Looking For

    • Familiarity with hydronic system components, including boilers, pumps, and piping required
    • Strong understanding of welding and fabrication standards for plumbing and HVAC systems
    • Educational training completed through an accredited program or 3+ years of equivalent work experience
    • One or more of the following certifications required:  6g Pipe Welding, NCCER Pipefitting/Welding, or CWF (Certified Welding Fabricator)
    • Proficient knowledge of the NCCER standards, local codes, and construction safety requirements
    • OSHA 30 certification preferred
    • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high quality work
    • Ability to physically perform the essential functions of the job
    • Use of proper protective clothing or equipment worn at all times
