    The Material Handling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse and production areas. This role ensures all material handling processes align with company standards for safety, accuracy, and productivity. The supervisor will lead a team, coordinate workflow, and collaborate with other departments to maintain seamless operations.

    POSITION DETAILS/RESPONSIBILITIES…:

    Supervision & Leadership

    • Lead, train, and mentor a team of material handlers, ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.
    • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.

    Equipment & Technology Utilization

    • Ensure the safe operation of forklifts, order pickers, electric pallet jacks, and scissor lifts.
    • Oversee the use of handheld scanners, barcoding systems, and warehouse management software (WMS) to track inventory and process orders.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Promote and enforce strict adherence to workplace safety standards and guidelines.
    • Conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices.

     Continuous Improvement & Organization

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-structured warehouse environment.
    • Collaborate with management to develop strategies for optimizing material flow and resource utilization.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field is a plus.
    • Experience: Prior experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), Microsoft Outlook, and inventory tracking software.
    • Certifications: Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
    • Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and operating material-handling equipment.
