    about the position…

    Power Design is looking for a top-notch Cost Accountant who lives in the details and can perform in-depth analysis to optimize company budget goals. Responsibilities include providing quality financial oversight of specific projects and delivering accounting, analysis and reporting support in order to meet financial targets. In this role, you will be instrumental in taking our cost allocation process to the next level!

    position details/responsibilities…

    • Establish, maintain and monitor financial information related to the project costing.
    • Assist in setting standard costs for costs being allocated, including project burdens.
    • Develop and analyze operational costs for cost accounting standards.
    • Communicate any potential profitability or risk to management.
    • Process financial transactions such as timely and accurate billing.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    here’s what we’re looking for…

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance is required.
    • 5-7 years of relevant experience as a Cost Accountant is required.
    • Proven knowledge of accounting principles and theory.
    • An agile and detail-oriented team member who can work effectively and flexibly in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple projects with changing priorities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative to prioritize project timelines and see through to completion.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, is required.
    • Oracle experience is a plus.
