    about the position…

    As the Audio Visual Systems Designer you will be responsible for taking the conceptual design and bill of materials from the Business Development team and build the drawing package for the installation team. Provide complete code-compliant designs inclusive of device layouts, system circuitry, calculations and detailed drawings for the Smart Spaces Audio Visual systems division. This position is located at our state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in sunny St. Petersburg, FL – the base of our entire operation.

    position details/responsibilities…

    • Create audio/visual wiring diagrams, architectural drawings, calculations, and submittals for projects.

    • Act as a resource, providing technical assistance for projects during bidding, design, permitting and construction.

    • Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs.

    • Coordinate with clients, consultants and project personnel.

    • Work with business development team to design code-compliant, contract-compliant and cost-effective systems.

    here’s what we’re looking for…

    • A motivated computer-aided design and drafting modeling program guru who takes the time to do things right and focuses in on what’s important in an ever-changing environment. 

    • Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience with Audio Visual Systems design required; experience with large-scale, multi-family residential projects a plus.

    • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit (BIM) is required; Bluebeam Revu is preferred.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

    • Understand overall theory of audio visual, lighting controls, and shade controls.

    • Familiarity with Crestron and/or Lutron preferred.
