The One Where 300 Superintendents visit the GRID: Super Summit 💥
Written by: Power Design
4 Days + 300 Superintendents + 1 Power Design GRID = 2024 Super Summit event.
While our headquarters is based in St. Petersburg, we have more than 300 active job sites from coast-to-coast, and keeping that connection and community with our boots on the ground is the number one priority. How do we do that? Consistent communication and bringing all of our superintendents to the GRID for a week of learning, hands-on training, networking, and of course, a little bit of fun. Take a look at what the Super Summit entailed and hear from the superintendents how unique and special this event is.
Power Design has been my home for 13 years, it means the world to me that they would take us all out of the field and just simply focus on us for a whole week — this isn't just a job to me, it is an amazing family that I am honored to be part of.

Day 1
Day 1Welcome to FL! ☀
After a quick drive, or a cross-country flight, our superintendents arrived at the LINK — our 208,000 sq. ft. prefab and distribution center — to take a tour of the facility, see just how things run there, and see the unveiling of our brand-new semi-truck fleet that will deliver job site materials coast-to-coast. This tour connected the dots of job site materials, prefabrication, and storage before materials hit the job sites — so our Superintendents were able to see how their materials are prepared in the warehouse to be 100% ready for install on the job site! Ready for day 2?

Speaking of taking things to the next level, let’s talk about our brand new, state-of-the-art, 27,000 sq. ft. training center. Here to enhance our people and their skills while providing the future generation with a best practices center to kickstart their career in the trades – find out what CAMP is all about.

Day 3
Day 3A Vendor Expo like No Other âš¡
This day’s training took things to a different level and focused on team building, constructive feedback, and tough conversations that will only help open new opportunities for change and improvement. After an exciting morning of crafting new ideas, more than 20+ industry partners joined us on campus at our Vendor Expo. Our superintendents, change order team, project managers, and more were able to connect with our vendor partners who are helping us bring innovative ideas to our job sites daily. From Milwaukee Tools and Sunbelt Rentals to Windy City Wire, Sonepar, and CED, all our amazing sponsors helped put together this event for our people. Now, we’ve saved the best for last, head to day four to see how we wrapped up Super Summit.

Day 4
Day 4The Main Event = Tough Rougher Championship and Celebration 🎊
We know you remember last year’s Tough Rougher Roadshow, where teams across the country competed against one another in roughing a unit with the best time, and safety QC score. Well, those teams all came to the GRID to put their skills to the test in CAMP! Nine teams made up of Superintendents, Foremen, Apprentices, and more went toe-to-toe with one another in a six-hour competition, all for three to take home a winning prize and donate to the charity of their choice. Catch the full Tough Rougher Recap and see the fun for yourself, here.

Since Super Summit, I saw a major uptick in employee morale, an increase in curiosity, and excitement to get to the next level — this is again a testament to how Power Design is truly #1 and what makes me proud and confident to be here.

Super Summit brought together our people and community in more ways than one, and we can’t wait to apply the lessons learned and new ideas that sprouted throughout the week. The highlight of the week? Seeing our field team leadership connecting with their #PDIFamily in one place, from catching up with one another, and mingling with their Regional Vice Presidents to shaking hands with our Executive Steering Committee, this week was unlike any other.
We'll catch ya at the next Super Summit!
