Power Design hosted a group of 15 students from the St. Petersburg Fire Department for a fun training focused on fire alarm and smoke control systems, here at our campus!
The training provided the group of new fire academy trainees the opportunity to see the systems they are learning about in the classroom, first-hand.
Power Design’s Best Practices and training facility boasts 16,000-square-feet of hands-on training applications and simulations. One of the most unique displays in the training center is the smoke control simulator, A smoke control system is a combination of fans, dampers, warning devices, and other equipment that work together to perform the containment function for any smoke event at any location in a building.
Systems such as these will be used to save lives once the trainees graduate, and we could not have been happier to be a part of their learning experience.
