Power Design partners with national organizations like the ABC and IEC, giving the country’s newest electrical powerhouses the opportunity to get hands-on job site experience and formal education. Now, we’re taking our dedication to trade advocacy to the next level by creating another avenue for electrical apprentices to launch their careers with our very own, US Department of Labor-accredited apprenticeship program, Power U. The program will not only bring more apprentices to the trade, but will also help with the labor shortage through dedicated on-the-job instruction, custom, easy-to-access curriculum, and a focus on foreman-readiness. With Power U, apprentices can expect a fast track to practical skills and success!
Power U gives apprentices the ability to attend class from virtually anywhere, while also receiving on-the-job training with dedicated mentors. We’re excited to welcome our inaugural class and continue to support the next generation of tradesmen!
Especially on National Tradesmen Day, we’re celebrating all of our nearly 300 apprentices nationwide, from DC to California, to our new Power U students in Florida. Thanks to all of our fellow trade partners for helping to build the industry and keep construction booming!
Check out a recap of our inaugural launch of Power U that included a week of fun orientation activities, a welcome ceremony and an apprentice signing day!
