This one-of-a-kind facility affords Power Design national buying power and the flexibility to inspect and quality control material prior to jobsite delivery. With the ability to purchase and receive project-specific fixtures in a timely manner, it ensures the project will meet the expected schedule and exceed customer expectations.
“The lighting industry and its supply chain takes experience and savvy to manage,” says Mark Robinson, General Manager of PDR. “We have assembled a dynamic team of highly qualified individuals in a competitive market with price-sensitive customers. What Power Design has done in the last ten years to vertically integrate services within the electrical contracting industry demonstrates how forward thinking this company is.”
In the past decade, Power Design Resources has supplied $100 million in fixtures and 3.6 million lamps, enough to light the Empire State Building. “This serves as a testament to the success of our vision, providing the quality product and dependable service customers have come to expect” says Robinson. With more than 18 years of experience in the lighting industry and a Master’s Degree in information technology, Robinson has managed Power Design Resources since inception, when it was just an empty warehouse with 4 employees using spools of wire as desks. Now, the facility staffs 25 employees with a combined total of 150 years of experience in the field and plans of further expansion of services in the future. To celebrate the milestone, Power Design’s executive team traveled from their Florida-based headquarters to Atlanta on June 19th to host a cocktail party for Power Design Resources employees at The W Atlanta hotel.
