Power Design Chief People and Culture Officer, Marlene Velez, was invited by the Tampa Bay Business Journal to discuss all things culture after our recent TBBJ Tampa Bay 200 recognition. Now more than ever, Marlene explains the importance of acknowledging and prioritizing mental health in the workplace— and that’s exactly what we’re doing at Power Design.
While on the panel, Marlene shared insight that is the driving force behind the culture at Power Design; simply put— we care, and we care hard for our #PDIFamily. Observing World Mental Health Day today gives us the opportunity to raise awareness and remind our employees that Power Design is here to support you (and that not being ok is OK)! Five years ago we transformed the human resource function to basically be an internal customer service department. We don't have human resources. We're called "The Source."
