Giving back to something bigger is who we are at Power Design. This October, our #PDIFamily teamed up in a huge way to support the fight against breast cancer by donating, fundraising, and more — all in the name of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Breast cancer is a disease that impacts many families at Power Design, including our Chief Operating Officer Joe Micallef. After seeing his grandmother and mother-in-law face this disease head on (and being a father of two daughters), he committed to stand up to breast cancer and raise awareness by joining the fight, along with Power Design. Our commitment kicked off in a festive way with a powerful, pink pumpkin patch on the GRID - where more than $5,000 was raised and donated to Joe's Men Wear Pink campaign.
As a leader at Power Design, Joe is also a leader in the community and was joined at the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk by another passionate supporter and member of our #PDIFamily, Wyndham Clark. Wyndham lost his mother to breast cancer and has since taken his #PLAYBIG mantra on and off the golf course — he’s vowed to play for something bigger than himself. See what Fox 13 had to say about Power Design and Wyndham's partnership coming together for something bigger.
Wyndham, Joe, and more than 100 Power Design team members showed their support at the walk decked out in head-to-toe pink while proudly making strides around Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
We’re #PDIProud to announce Joe won the #MenWearPink 2023 Top Fundraiser Award – raising more than $12,000 in the name of finding a cure for breast cancer.
