When James walked across the graduation stage at 17 years old, he already knew that the college path wasn’t for him. What did he know? He had an interest in electrical work – something he picked up at a young age from his father, a career electrician. For James, an active, hands-on career that challenged him to think on his feet and let him see the impact of his work every day just made sense and was the start of an incredible future!
After gaining a few years of experience, James made the leap and joined the #PDIFamily, and that’s where things really began to click for him. With the right environment and a dedicated mentor, he got the push that he needed to grow into his dream career – one where he brings massive projects to life from the ground up, and helps future electricians do the same! Now as a Senior Project Superintendent, he’s helping shape the future generation of skilled electricians – currently leading the team at our Hammell Drive project in Raleigh, NC.

Looking ahead, James’s goals are clear. He wants to put Power Design in an even better place than when he arrived – not just through bringing projects to life, but through the people he can empower along the way.
For James, it’s not just about the job, but the legacy he’ll leave behind him. A legacy built on mentorship, hard work, and genuine care for the people around him. As he continues to pave the way for the next generation, he’s making a lasting impact on the job site, his team, and the future of the trades.
