Standing 18 floors high, housing more than 500 units, and covering more than 1.3 million sq. ft., Miami’s newest high rise in the heart of Overtown provides the locals with a brand-new hot spot.
From premier retail and a grocery store to a luxury health club and restaurants, our #PDIFamily is bringing this community center to life under the leadership of Senior Project Superintendent David Satchell. David is living his dream of building high rises while teaching the next generation the trade, and the good it will bring them. With a project that started during the pandemic amid shutdowns and delays, we give hard hats off to our dedicated teams, like David, who were able to pivot and adapt to a new set of circumstances. Whether that is material delays or other common job site complications, we’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with this Miami masterpiece – and we’re #PDIProud of how our Block 55 team overcame the pandemic obstacles to reach the finish line. When it comes to our success, communication is key. While our teams are spread out shaping skylines from coast-to-coast, we’re using next-level technology, like Crew Connect, OpenSpace, and Revit, to keep us on the same page, and that’s just what we did at Block 55. From concept to completion, David and his team determined a plan to work with one another to keep the project on track, and to complete it with excellence providing a seamless experience for long-term partner Coastal Construction.
