Jeff has been with Power Design for over six years now and is a shining example of our commitment to safety in the field. When asked about what winning this truck means to him, Jeff simply said:
Safety will always be a top priority at Power Design. Every year, we give away a Safety Truck to recognize and reward our team members and their support of our collective commitment to safety in the field.
We have company-wide safety goals setting a high standard for safety. In addition to meeting those goals, project Supers and Foremen must meet the following individual criteria to be eligible to win a safety truck:
– Active Journeyman level license (depending on your MEP discipline)
– Completion of OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E training
– No safety violations on your project
– Bonus entries will be awarded for being on a CRUSHED IT project
With our company-wide safety goals achieved, and an impressive EMR of 0.65, one of our Superintendents or Foreman that met the above criteria was slated to win this year’s safety truck. In the days following Tough Rougher, the winner was announced – a Senior Superintendent from the Southwest region: Jeff Roach! See Jeff’s response to winning this years safety truck below.
