The time has come for our final look at a day in the #PDILife! This week we’re highlighting Senior Estimator and #WomanInConstruction Emily Merten as she takes us through her day.
Our estimating department is known as the “Quarterback” of pre-construction here at Power Design – starting the play by bidding on different jobs to score a touchdown and ultimately win the project. Alongside our estimators are many other key players to our offense that collaborate to provide them the necessary knowledge to bid jobs efficiently.
At Power Design, we build our business on relationships. Our estimating team helps to support our industry partners by maintaining relationships and working with them on future opportunities to ultimately keep our field teams working in their local communities.
We sat down with Emily to learn the ins and outs of estimating and her favorite parts of working at Power Design. She shared: “My favorite part of working at Power Design is feeling proud to be part company that celebrates our wins together and supports our collaborations company wide.”
